New Jersey Professional Development Provider # 6466

ACES offers a variety of services to parents, teachers, family members and anyone interested in learning more about autism.  In addition, we specialize in 1 to 1 tutoring of caregivers and/or education providers.  In our 1 to 1 sessions we will customize each session to the needs of the learner.

IEP Review and Development

Review —ACES will review your current IEP for measurable goals and compliance with New Jersey State Department of Education regulations, providing you with documentation of the findings.

Development Through parental input and chosen assessments ACES will assist you in writing measurable goals and objectives to incorporate into your next IEP.

1 to 1 Tutoring
ACES provides 1 to 1 tutoring to anyone that works with individuals with an autism spectrum disorder. We will customize each session to your specific needs and address any concerns you are having about your child/student’s progress.

Teacher, Staff, Parent and Family
Training
Training provided in various proven teaching techniques.  Let ACES help you put into action the type of teaching program you feel your child/student deserves.  We have all heard the phrase “it depends on the child.”  ACES will work with you more closely to help decide what approach may best suit your child’s needs and help take the guesswork out of your decision. Training is available at school, in the home, or in our office.

Our family trainings help extended family members to better understand individuals with an autism spectrum disorder and how to interact with them.  All to often grandparents, aunts and uncles, and even close friends are unsure of why the same interactions, reinforcement and discipline procedures don’t work with children on the spectrum as they do with typically developing children.  ACES hopes to give family members the tools to interact with your child and decrease the tension and stress sometimes caused by this lack of understanding.

Home Program Set-up
ACES will help you to set up one area in your home for structured work or multiple areas within your child’s daily living routine to help ensure easy access to learning materials throughout your home.  Visual strategies can also be incorporated into all rooms in the home.

Curriculum Modifications
For students who utilize regular education curriculum, ACES will help districts to modify the lessons or text to specifically meet the needs of the child while also meeting core curriculum standards.

Materials Management
We provide printing, laminating and display materials for pictures that are specific to your child’s program, such as photos of family members or items within your home.
